Founder & Director​
Terrance Mack is the visionary Director of Lit Dive, where he also serves as Lead Instructor for the organization’s educator trainings and Lead Editor of its literacy development tools. With over a decade of experience in secondary education, curriculum design, and instructional coaching, Terrance brings a bold, student-centered approach to tackling literacy challenges in grades 6–12. His leadership at Lit Dive has led to the creation of innovative, data-driven programs and professional learning experiences that empower educators and ignite student growth. Whether designing culturally relevant tools or leading dynamic trainings, Terrance is committed to ensuring every learner is seen, supported, and stretched.
Terrance holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics English Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University. His professional journey spans Georgia, Massachusetts, and Rwanda, where he has served as an educator, instructional coach, and program coordinator. He has conducted applied research on African American Vernacular English, assessed the effectiveness of literacy interventions, and helped teachers refine their practice through evidence-based methods. A passionate advocate for educational equity, Terrance’s work is grounded in the belief that literacy is not just a skill but a tool for empowerment.​
